Care Instructions

YOUR FIRST BURN – This is very important and will determine how your candle burns.

When you light your candle for the very first time you must leave your candle burning continuously for between 2 and 3 hours or until the melt pool reaches the edges of the container.

Candles have a burn memory, so, if the melt pool didn’t reach the edge on the first burn it won’t on any further burns. Incorrect first burning may cause tunnelling to occur and will result in much shorter burn time.

The history of Bolsius stretches back almost 150 years, from New Zealand to South America. Using a blend based on local European plant-based ingredients such as rapeseed, olive and sunflower oil and recycled old wax.
